Yes, completely. There is one list of words and one record of what you have done with them, so a word you answer in the deck is a word the A2 plan shows as scheduled, and a word you mark done on the A2 word list stops appearing in both.

That is the point of having both. Some days a list you work down is what you want; some days you would rather be shown one word at a time and answer it. Neither puts you behind on the other.

If you have a A2 plan running, the deck will not introduce a word the plan has not reached yet: new cards stop at the end of today's list. That keeps one pace rather than two. Without a plan, the deck deals down the whole level, 786 words, as fast as you want it to.

It is the SM-2 algorithm with Anki's defaults, which is what most spaced-repetition apps use. A new card is shown twice a few minutes apart, then a day later. From there each correct answer multiplies the gap by that card's own ease factor, so cards you find easy fall away to months and cards you keep missing stay close.

Answering Again on a card you had learned is a lapse: it drops the ease, comes back in ten minutes, and resumes at half the interval it had.

The deck follows your plan’s daily word list by default, or allows 20 new cards a day without a plan. The daily limit survives reloading the page, and words first studied in list mode or on a vocabulary entry count too.

When the cards are clear, choose Increase today’s limit to add new cards. The extra allowance expires at local midnight; your usual daily target stays unchanged. For reference, the A2 steady plan introduces about 20 new words a day over 40 days.

Space or Enter shows the answer, then Space again grades it Good. 1–4 are Again, Hard, Good and Easy. Z or U undoes the last grade, including the effort it recorded.

After that the four grades, and nothing else: in a deck the grade is the decision. To take a word out of rotation for good, mark it done on its entry or in the plan. It stops being dealt here either way.
