Common questions

What is in a German reading test?

A few short German texts, each followed by its questions: multiple choice on what the text says (Leseverstehen) and richtig or falsch statements. The answer to every question is in the text.

How should I approach a reading question?

Read the text once through without stopping, then read the question and go back for the specific line. Every explanation quotes that line, so you can check whether you were reading or guessing.

Why do I keep getting richtig or falsch wrong?

Almost always from reading the statement into the text rather than out of it. Find the sentence the statement is about before deciding, and check it word for word, especially quantities, negation and who did what to whom.

Are the tests free?

Yes. Every test, answer and explanation is free, with no account needed.
