Using the site
German Fluent is free to use, and every page works without an account. By using it you agree to these terms. Do not use it in a way that harms the site or other people, for example by attacking or overloading it, or by trying to reach anyone else's account or data.
Accounts
An account exists to sync your study progress between your own devices, and is entirely optional. If you create one, use an email address you control and keep your password to yourself; you are responsible for what happens under your account. You can stop using it at any time, and have it deleted by emailing the address below. Accounts used to abuse the site may be suspended or removed. What an account stores, and where, is set out in the privacy policy.
The material
The word lists, reading texts and practice questions are published under CC BY-SA 4.0 and come from the sources listed on the attribution page; you may reuse them under that licence. Much of it (translations, example sentences and explanations) is machine-generated and machine-checked rather than reviewed by a teacher. It is offered to help you learn and will contain mistakes, so do not rely on it as your only preparation for an exam, or for anything where an error would matter.
No warranty
The site is provided as it is, with no promise that it will be accurate, available or free of errors, and it may change or stop at any time. Your progress is kept in your browser and, if you sign in, in your account; either copy can be lost. To the extent the law allows, German Fluent is not liable for any loss that comes from using the site or from being unable to use it.
Changes
These terms may be updated. The date above changes when they do, and continuing to use the site after a change means accepting the new version.
