Separable verb: abfahren

Mein Zug fährt von Gleis vier ab.

The prefix ab moves to the end of the sentence: fährt … ab. You have to read to the end to know which verb it is.

können + infinitive

Ich kann sofort einsteigen und finde einen guten Platz.

After kann the infinitive einsteigen goes last — and a separable verb stays whole in the infinitive.

warten auf + accusative

Meine Freundin wartet in Berlin schon auf mich.

Warten takes the preposition auf plus the accusative: auf mich, auf den Zug.
