Abends mache ich das Radio an und koche.

Ich spiele schon lange Klavier, aber nicht sehr gut.

German says Klavier spielen with no article, where English says 'play the piano'.

Separable verb: anmachen

Abends mache ich das Radio an und koche.

Anmachen means to switch on. The prefix an goes to the end: mache … an.

bis for a time limit

Dann tanzen wir bis drei Uhr.

Bis marks the end point of a period: bis drei Uhr, bis morgen.
