Perfect tense with haben

Gestern habe ich einen netten Mann aus dem Haus kennengelernt.

Habe is second, the participle kennengelernt goes right to the end. That frame is what makes German perfect sentences long.

Present tense for the future

Wir trinken morgen zusammen Kaffee.

With a future time word like morgen, German simply uses the present tense.
