Gute Nacht

Abends wird es bei uns ruhig.

In the evening things go quiet at our place.

Mein Kind duscht und geht früh ins Bett.

My child showers and goes to bed early.

Ich lese ihm noch eine kleine Geschichte vor.

Then I read them a little story.

Dann räume ich noch auf.

Then I tidy up a bit more.

Ich trinke einen Tee und lese die Zeitung.

I drink a tea and read the paper.

Manchmal höre ich noch Musik.

Sometimes I listen to some music.

Um zehn Uhr bin ich müde.

At ten o'clock I am tired.

Dann schlafe ich sofort ein.

Then I fall asleep at once.
