Die Leute dort helfen mir immer.

Now I understand the work better and I get more money too.

Am Freitag treffen wir uns alle.

On Friday we are all meeting up.

Grammar in this text

The perfect with haben

Aber eine Frau hat mir alles erklärt.

The perfect is haben plus the past participle, and the participle goes to the very end: hat ... erklärt. Most verbs build their perfect with haben.

Angst haben, with no article

Am ersten Tag hatte ich Angst.

German says Angst haben without an article: ich habe Angst, ich hatte Angst. hatte is the ordinary past of haben.

helfen takes the dative

Die Leute dort helfen mir immer.

helfen takes a dative object, not an accusative one: sie helfen mir, sie helfen dem Kind.
