Meaning and usage
entweder … oder means either … or: one of two possibilities, not both. Ich trinke jeden Morgen entweder Kaffee oder Tee. Du kannst entweder die große oder die kleine Schachtel nehmen. It can join words, phrases or whole clauses.
When entweder opens a sentence of two clauses, the first clause can keep normal order or put the verb straight after entweder: Entweder wir gehen alle, oder … and Entweder gehen wir alle, oder … both occur. The clause after oder keeps normal order: oder es geht keiner.
